Inkubator bisnis Universitas Multimedia Nusantara dan Kompas Gramedia Group, Skystar Ventures UMN, menyelenggarakan Demo Day virtual yang diikuti oleh enam tim terpilih dari mahasiswa UMN. Demo Day merupakan rangkaian acara terakhir dari program inkubasi Skystar Ventures batch 8 yang sudah berjalan selama enam bulan. Acara ini dihadiri oleh Bayu Seto (Director of Digital Investment Sinarmas Land) dan Erwin Arifin (Head of StartupIndonesia.co) sebagai panelis untuk memberikan saran dan masukan kepada peserta inkubasi.
Program inkubasi startup batch 8 sendiri digelar oleh Skystar Ventures UMN sejak Februari 2021 hingga Oktober 2021 secara daring. Program ini bertujuan untuk membantu para peserta inkubasi memvalidasi ide bisnis hingga tahap MVP (Minimum Viable Product).
“Pencapaian para peserta inkubasi sampai tahap ini menjadi sebuah prestasi tersendiri. Kalian telah terlibat dalam visi UMN dalam memberikan kontribusi bagi kemajuan Indonesia dan dampak yang baik bagi masyarakat,” tutur Andrey Handoko, Wakil Rektorat Bidang Administrasi Umum dan Keuangan Universitas Multimedia Nusantara sekaligus Kepala Inkubator Bisnis Skystar Ventures UMN. Rasa bangga juga disampaikan tim Skystar Ventures kepada para peserta inkubasi atas perjuangan yang sungguh luar biasa.
Acara puncak dalam Demo Day kali ini adalah presentasi dari para peserta inkubasi yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian feedback dari panelis. Feedback yang diberikan panelis lebih fokus menggali keunikan apa yang startup mereka miliki sehingga dapat unggul dari kompetitor lain. Selain itu, para panelis juga memberikan masukan untuk mengerucutkan bisnis model sehingga dapat fokus saat eksekusi di lapangan.
Erwin Arifin menambahkan, “Ide-ide yang disuguhkan para peserta inkubasi sangat kreatif dan up-to-date dengan kondisi market saat ini, sangat seru. Tapi, keberhasilan bisnis kalian juga tergantung dari bagaimana eksekusi kalian di lapangan. Jadi, tetap semangat, ya!”
Tidak sampai disitu saja, Skystar Ventures juga memberikan apresiasi terhadap para peserta inkubasi terbaik yang terbagi dalam tiga kategori. Berdasarkan hasil voting dari partisipan yang hadir, startup Tuhiro terpilih menjadi pemenang kategori public choice dan startup Cooking Media terpilih menjadi pemenang kategori best pitch. Sementara itu, Dongkrak terpilih menjadi startup terbaik pilihan panelis.
Skystar Ventures UMN sendiri sudah menyelenggarakan sebanyak tujuh batch program inkubasi sebelumnya dan telah mendukung lebih dari 40 startup dari berbagai macam kategori. Melalui program ini, diharapkan para peserta program inkubasi Skystar Ventures UMN dapat melanjutkan pengembangan startup-nya ke level yang lebih tinggi. Hal ini selaras dengan visi Skystar Ventures UMN untuk membangun ekosistem startup yang kompeten, kolaboratif, dan sustainable di lingkungan universitas.
